The San Bernardino National Forest Association (SBNFA) is a key nonprofit
partner to the San Bernardino National Forest. The SBNFA is committed to the
success of public lands management as it works to care for the land and serve
the people. SBNFA staff and volunteers will educate Earth Day guests on its
six divisions and outreach programs including, Forest Care; SBNF Fire Lookout
Program; Urban Youth Conservation Corps; Youth Leadership and Recreation;
Environmental Education Outreach; Big Bear Discovery Center programming;
Off-Highway Vehicle Education and Outreach. Forest Aid, a forest restoration
partnership with the U.S. Forest Service and TreePeople will be displayed.
Volunteer sign up is still available to join the 2009 Forest Aid team to help
replant the burn areas around Lake Arrowhead (through May 9). Volunteer
opportunities are available for all 6 SBNFA divisions. We will give out banners, program specific rack cards, brochures, program schedules, and
SBNFA playing cards.
